Community Guidelines
Building a safe, respectful, and inclusive community together
Last updated: 31 August 2026 · Version 2026.08.31
Our Community Standards
Swingable is an adults-only platform designed for connecting like-minded individuals through events, social features, and genuine connections. These Community Guidelines help us create a positive, safe environment for everyone. By using our platform, you agree to follow these standards.
Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban depending on severity. We encourage you to report any content or behavior that violates these guidelines.
Respect
Treat all members with dignity and kindness
Safety
Protect yourself and others from harm
Authenticity
Be genuine and honest in all interactions
1. Be Respectful and Kind
Treat all community members with respect and dignity:
- Be courteous in all interactions—messages, comments, and posts
- Respect different opinions, backgrounds, lifestyles, and perspectives
- Use appropriate language and tone
- Accept rejection gracefully—"no" means no
- Embrace diversity and practice inclusivity
- Don't pressure others for personal information, photos, or meetings
Remember: Behind every profile is a real person with feelings, experiences, and boundaries.
These standards also apply to anything you submit through our public marketing surfaces — including the "How Swingable Are You?" quiz, the Contact form and the Partners form. Be honest in your answers and respectful in any message you send us.
2. Prohibited Content
The following types of content are strictly prohibited:
- Illegal Content: Content that violates laws or promotes illegal activities
- Hate Speech: Content that promotes hatred or violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Non-Consensual Content: Intimate imagery shared without the subject's consent
- Violence & Gore: Graphic violence, gore, or disturbing imagery
- Harassment & Bullying: Content that targets, threatens, or intimidates others
- Spam & Scams: Unsolicited advertising, phishing, or fraudulent schemes
- Misinformation: Deliberately false or misleading information
- Child Safety Violations: Any content exploiting or endangering minors—this results in immediate permanent ban and may be reported to authorities
- Prohibited Words: Our platform automatically filters certain prohibited words and phrases
2a. Intimate Image Abuse & Synthetic Media
Sharing an intimate image or video of an identifiable adult without their consent is a criminal offence in the UK and one of the most serious breaches of these guidelines. It results in immediate removal and, in almost all cases, a permanent ban.
- Never post, message, or re-share intimate content of someone who has not agreed to it being on Swingable
- Threatening to share intimate content — "sextortion" — is treated as a severe violation and reported to the police
- Do not create, upload, or share sexual deepfakes or any synthetic or AI-generated sexual imagery of a real identifiable person without their consent
- Do not remove, crop out, or tamper with watermarks or provenance markings on media you view on Swingable
- Screen-recording or capturing another member's private media and sharing it elsewhere is intimate image abuse and will be treated as such
Media shown on Swingable carries invisible provenance markings tied to the viewing account. If private media is leaked, we use those markings to identify the source and to support the affected member's report to the police. If intimate content of you has been shared without your consent, report it in-app and email Admin@swingable.co.uk — we prioritise these reports. You can also get free help from the Revenge Porn Helpline.
2b. Shared Profiles
A Shared Profile is one identity used by two or more adults, each with their own login. Everyone in a Shared Profile is equally responsible for everything posted through it.
- Only add people who have agreed to be part of the Shared Profile
- Never share your personal login credentials — each person joins with their own account
- Do not post media of another member of the Shared Profile without their agreement
- Actions taken through a Shared Profile are attributed to the individual who took them, and enforcement can be applied to that individual as well as to the Shared Profile
- If the relationship ends, remove the person promptly and review shared media
3. Prohibited Behavior
The following behaviors are not tolerated on our platform:
- Harassment: Repeatedly contacting someone who has asked you to stop or blocked you
- Impersonation: Pretending to be someone else or creating fake profiles
- Catfishing: Using fake photos or significantly misleading information
- Stalking: Obsessively monitoring or following other users
- Doxing: Sharing personal information (address, phone, workplace) without consent
- Manipulation: Using deceptive tactics to exploit or manipulate others
- Account Abuse: Creating multiple accounts, especially to evade bans
- Blackmail or Extortion: Threatening to share information or images to obtain something
- Event Fraud: Creating fake events or failing to deliver on event promises
4. Privacy and Consent
Respecting privacy is fundamental to our community:
- Always obtain consent before sharing someone's photos or information outside the platform
- Do not screenshot or share private conversations without permission
- Respect users' privacy settings and boundaries
- Do not pressure others to share personal information or meet before they're ready
- Report any unauthorized use of your content
- Keep event locations confidential until event organizers release the address
- What happens at events should stay private unless participants consent to sharing
Vault Uploads & Tagged Consent
Every photo and video used on Swingable is uploaded to your private Vault first. When you upload you must classify each item accurately as Just me, Me and other people, Other people only, or No people. Where you tag another registered Swingable member who appears in the item, that person must approve it before it can proceed to moderation — a decline from any tagged member permanently deletes the item for everyone, including the uploader.
You are responsible for holding valid consent from every identifiable person in what you upload, including anyone who is not a registered Swingable member or who has not been tagged — tagged-member approval is an additional safeguard for identifiable members, not a substitute for having genuine consent from everyone shown. Our moderators may reject content where consent is not adequately demonstrated, even if no tag was declined.
- Never misclassify content to bypass consent (e.g. tagging a photo with other people as "Just me" or "No people")
- Only tag people who are actually in the photo or video
- Do not pressure or repeatedly re-tag someone who has declined
- Respect a decline — declined content must not be re-uploaded from another angle or account
- Do not upload content of people who cannot meaningfully consent, or who are unaware they are being recorded, whether or not they are a Swingable member
4a. Live Streaming, Messages & Enforcement
Live streaming on Swingable is currently operated only by our admin team for official broadcasts; ordinary members cannot start their own live stream.
Private messages are not routinely browsed by staff. We review a conversation only when it has been reported to us, or as otherwise required by law.
Automated risk signals help prioritise what our moderation team looks at, but they do not themselves impose permanent enforcement. Decisions to permanently restrict, suspend, ban, or shadow-restrict an account are made by a human moderator.
4b. Live Chat
Live Chat is a realtime room, separate from your private direct messages. You normally only see messages sent after you join, and there is no chat history or search of earlier room messages. Recent text is held briefly for safety and abuse reporting — currently around 15 minutes — and expires automatically unless it is preserved because of a report. Treat the room as public.
Camera and microphone are optional and off by default. We don’t record them or turn them into saved video. Camera and microphone travel directly between members’ devices (peer‑to‑peer) and are not routed through, stored by or processed by any third‑party media provider. To set up that direct connection, your device and the devices you connect with exchange network address information, which can reveal an approximate location — only with members you are actually connected to on camera or microphone. We may switch camera or microphone off, or limit how many cameras you can watch at once, for safety, capacity or technical reasons.
- Never broadcast or record another identifiable person without their consent
- Don’t share anyone else’s private information in the room
- No harassment, and no advertising or arranging paid sexual services
- No illegal content, non-consensual intimate imagery, synthetic or deepfake intimate imagery, or child sexual abuse material — ever
- Block anyone you don’t want to see; it hides their messages and their camera from you
Moderation in the room can include message cooldowns and rate limiting, removal from the room, temporary or permanent chat bans, disabling camera or microphone, and closing the room. A cooldown is not a site ban. Our staff cannot browse chat transcripts; when you report something, a bounded amount of context is preserved as evidence and is only opened for a moderation, safety or legal case.
5. Authenticity and Verification
We value genuine connections built on honesty:
- Use real, recent photos of yourself
- Provide accurate information in your profile (age, relationship status)
- Be truthful about your intentions
- Consider photo verification to build trust with other members
- If you're a couple, represent both members honestly
- Don't misrepresent your identity to gain access to features or events
Photo verified and ID verified members have passed our verification process. Look for verification badges when connecting with others.
6. Event Guidelines
When attending or organizing events:
- Respect event organizers and their rules
- Arrive on time and check in using the platform's check-in system
- Don't share private event addresses publicly
- Respect the privacy of other attendees—no photos without consent
- If you can no longer attend, cancel your ticket so others can use the spot
- Event organizers: Be responsive to ticket holder inquiries and provide accurate event information
7. Groups and Meets
When participating in groups or responding to meets:
- Stay on topic in group discussions
- Respect group rules and moderators
- Don't spam groups with promotional content
- Be honest about your intentions when responding to meets
- Group owners and moderators can remove members who violate group rules
8. Clubs
Club profiles represent real venues and organizations:
- Only claim ownership of clubs you legitimately represent
- Keep club information accurate and up-to-date
- Respond professionally to reviews—don't harass reviewers
- Club content must follow all community guidelines
9. Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines:
- Use the report feature on any post, comment, message, or profile
- Provide specific details about the violation
- Block the user if necessary for your safety
- Do not engage with or retaliate against the user
- For urgent safety concerns, contact us through our feedback page
All reports are reviewed by our moderation team. We take every report seriously and will take appropriate action based on our investigation. False or malicious reports may result in action against the reporter.
10. Consequences for Violations
Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, we may take the following actions:
- Warning: First-time minor violations may receive a warning
- Content Removal: Violating content will be removed
- Feature Restrictions: Temporary loss of specific features (messaging, posting)
- Temporary Suspension: Account access restricted for a period of time
- Permanent Ban: Serious or repeated violations result in permanent account termination
- Legal Action: Illegal activities may be reported to authorities
Banned users who create new accounts will have those accounts terminated. Severe violations (child safety, threats of violence) result in immediate permanent bans with no warning.
11. Safety Tips for Meeting In Person
Protect yourself when meeting other members:

- Arrange your own transportation—don't depend on someone you just met
- Never share financial information or send money to other users

Important Reminder
These guidelines are designed to protect all community members and ensure a positive experience. We reserve the right to enforce these guidelines at our discretion and may update them as needed. Your cooperation in maintaining community standards is essential and appreciated.
Swingable is a platform—we facilitate connections but are not responsible for the actions of individual users. Always prioritize your personal safety.
How to Report
If you encounter content or behaviour that violates these guidelines, you can report it directly:
- Look for the flag icon or "Report" option on any post, comment, photo, video, message, or user profile.
- Select the reason that best describes the issue — including options for non-consensual intimate imagery, underage involvement, violence, harassment, and more.
- Provide additional context to help our moderation team understand the situation.
- All reports are reviewed promptly and handled confidentially.
- You can track the status of your reports in My Reports under Settings.
We may report illegal activity — including non-consensual intimate imagery and child sexual abuse material — to the relevant authorities, in line with UK law and any applicable laws in the country where the activity took place or where the user is based (including EU member states, the United States, Canada, and other jurisdictions we serve).
Appeals
If your content has been removed, restricted, or your account has been suspended, you have the right to appeal. Appeals must be submitted within thirty (30) days of the enforcement decision by emailing Admin@swingable.co.uk with your username, the affected content or action, and the grounds for appeal. Appeals are reviewed by a moderator who was not involved in the original decision. We aim to acknowledge appeals within three (3) business days and to reach a substantive decision within fourteen (14) days. This appeals route is provided in line with our duties under the Online Safety Act 2023.
Transparency Reporting
We publish periodic transparency information covering the volume of reports received, categories of content actioned, average handling times, and outcomes of appeals. Where required, we cooperate with Ofcom, the ICO and equivalent overseas regulators, and will make information available on request.
