Copyright, IP & Takedown

If content shows you (or someone you represent) in an intimate or sexual context without consent — including non-consensual intimate images, or synthetic or AI-generated intimate imagery depicting a real person — do not use the copyright process below. These reports are treated as safety reports and are prioritised.

You can report this in-product using the report option on the post, message, comment or profile in question, or by emailing admin@swingable.co.uk with "privacy report" in the subject line. See our Online Safety page for more on how these reports are handled.

If you believe content on Swingable infringes your copyright, trade mark or other intellectual property rights, you can send us a takedown notice. We handle these under general UK law (there is no equivalent to the US DMCA process here), and we aim to act promptly on notices that contain enough information for us to investigate.

To send a valid notice, email admin@swingable.co.uk with "takedown" in the subject line, including:

• your name and contact details;
• identification of the work or right you say is infringed (for example, a description of the copyrighted work or registered mark);
• the URL, post, listing or in-product location of the material you say is infringing, in enough detail for us to find it;
• a statement of your good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law;
• confirmation that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf; and
• your signature (electronic signature is acceptable).

Incomplete notices may take longer to action, or may be returned to you with a request for more information.

When we receive a complete notice, we will review it and, where it appears well-founded, remove or disable access to the reported material. We aim to acknowledge notices promptly and to act on clear-cut cases without unnecessary delay; timescales for more complex cases will depend on the facts.

We may notify the person who posted the material that it has been removed and why, unless doing so is not appropriate in the circumstances (for example, in a safety report under clause 1).

If your content was removed following a copyright notice and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to admin@swingable.co.uk with "counter-notice" in the subject line, explaining why you believe the material does not infringe the right claimed and providing your contact details.

We will review counter-notices and may restore the material, request further information from either party, or leave the material removed, depending on the circumstances. We are not obliged to restore material where doing so would conflict with other legal obligations, our Terms of Service, or our Community Guidelines.

We may suspend or permanently close the account of anyone who is the subject of repeated, well-founded infringement notices, in addition to removing the infringing material.

Do not use the copyright process to report content for reasons unrelated to intellectual property (for example, general complaints, harassment reports or privacy concerns) — use the in-product report tools or the privacy route in clause 1 instead. Knowingly false or bad-faith notices may result in action against the reporting account and may expose the sender to liability.
